Barbara Buchstane Haworth has held senior level positions in both the business and nonprofit sectors throughout her career. Her business career was spent primarily as a real estate professional overseeing her own firm in San Diego and prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of LaSalle Partners (now JLL).  Her work in the nonprofit sector includes her five and a half years as Executive Director of Anshe Emet Synagogue of Chicago and her many years in senior leadership positions in the Jewish communities of San Diego and Chicago. She has served in leadership of every type of Jewish organization including federations, JCC’s, synagogues, community foundations, and social service agencies.  She is thrilled to be involved with JCYS and looks to enhance the agency’s reach across Chicagoland both in serving youth and in cultivating the next generation of Jewish and civic leaders.
