Since 1907, JCYS has responded to the changing needs of Chicagoland families, evolving from a young leaders’ philanthropic society into today’s Jewish early childhood education agency. That same commitment to service has sustained us for more than 115 years, and developed generations of Jewish civic leaders along the way.

We’re not affiliated with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, so gifts like yours, alongside corporate donations, grants, and fundraisers, are what make our work possible today.

Scholarship Impact

Scholarships ensure family income is never a barrier to a JCYS education. This past year, JCYS awarded around $128,000 in scholarships to 48 children across 41 families, an average of $2,676 per child.

Investing in Leadership Development

For more than a century, JCYS has served as a launchpad for Jewish civic leadership. Gifts to JCYS help develop the next generation of leaders through Board service, mentorship, and programs like our Leadership Circle, connecting generations of alumni, donors, and current leaders in service to the community.
