Lexi Barr

Director of Early Childhood Education

Lexi holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Ball State University. She has been working with children for 10 years as an infant teacher, pre-kindergarten teacher, and most recently as school program coordinator and assistant director.

Lexi believes that schools should be vibrant, responsive communities where children, educators, and families are co-constructors of knowledge. Her role as an administrator is to cultivate a culture of collaboration, reflection, and innovation–where each child is seen as competent, each educator is supported as a researcher and guide, and each family is respected as an essential partner in the learning process.

In her free time, she loves to explore the city, try new restaurants, crochet, go hiking, and spend time with her husband and their two cats!
