JCYS North Suburban Day Camp

Summer Day Camp for Elementary Kids in Buffalo Grove

Our North Suburban Day Camp includes all the classic summer camp activities and experiences, with specialty tracks that let your camper dive deeper into sports, the arts, and cooking, plus weekly field trips. JCYS North is led by passionate counselors and serves children entering first grade through eighth grade.

Several young children climb a play structure outdoors on a sunny day. One girl with glasses and pink sandals looks toward the camera while climbing. Other children focus on playing. The ground is covered in safety mats.

Spirit, Silliness, and Trying Something New

Summer Adventures Start Here

Our camp culture is filled with spirit and silliness, where everyone cheers on each other, and children are supported to take risks, challenge themselves, and try new things.

A Summer Full of Opportunity

Why Families Love JCYS North

JCYS North Suburban Day Camp brings the fun, excitement, and traditions your camper has come to love, with the flexibility your family needs. Our dedicated staff offer the same exceptional care and encouragement to every camper.

Channel Your Creativity

With dance, cooking, musical instruments, singing, and traditional arts and crafts, there’s a creative outlet for every camper.

Two young children stand by a blue plastic kiddie pool outdoors, each holding a long water toy and playing in the water. The scene is set on a grassy area with summer sunlight and playground equipment in the background.

Individual & Team Sports

Soccer, kickball, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, GaGa, volleyball, and camp favorite Nine Square in the Air.

A child wearing an orange safety vest climbs a rope net structure outdoors, smiling with trees and sunlight in the background.

Camper’s Choice

Campers pick an activity they love or want to try, from cooking to arts and crafts to sports, building decision-making and independence. New choices every two weeks.

A young girl in a green shirt sits at a table drawing with a pink marker on white paper. A blue basket and a red marker are on the table, with classroom shelves in the background.

Adventure & Sun

Campers enjoy one hour of free swim, two days per week, a short bus ride away.

Young boy in shorts holds an orange ball while about to kick a blue ball in a gym with a net, colorful balls in the background, and gym equipment along the far wall.

Rainy Day Ready

Large activity rooms and a gymnasium at JCYS Northwest Family Center keep the fun going, rain or shine.

A woman holds a baby with a top ponytail and red marks on her cheeks. The baby is wearing a pink outfit and reaching out with one hand. A woven basket is in the background.

What families are saying

“

Before and after care is included, which is a huge help for working parents. My kids are always begging me to let them stay later at camp, which I consider a good sign they’re having fun!
