Sunflower Camp

Campers take advantage of all the amenities available at JCYS Highland Park, including our outdoor stage, drama seating pavilion, full-sized indoor gym, and securely enclosed outdoor playgrounds with age-appropriate facilities. For extra summer fun, various sprinklers are set up outside so campers can splash around to cool off. Additionally, Pre-K Sunflower Campers enjoy free swim 3 days per week (M, T, Th).

Campers also love our catered meals and snacks, featuring fresh, colorful food made from scratch with local ingredients. We serve organic milk to all our campers and make sure each child gets enough nutritious food for a full day of adventures.

Behind all the fun of camp are the caring early childhood staff and all the know-how of a first-class preschool. Rooms are led by our qualified and dedicated school-year staff. With a low staff-to-child ratio, campers get plenty of individual attention – and children who regularly attend will feel right at home with the same classroom teachers from the school year.

Program Highlights

Theme weeks allow campers to explore new places, environments, and ideas. Past theme weeks have included “Help My Garden Grow,” “Ice Cream Shoppe,” and “Under the Sea.” Our themes incorporate in-house field trips* that provide a balance between entertainment and an introduction to community helpers. All campers also participate in daily themed activities, like a special art project, game, and sensory exploration.
