Through Camp Red Leaf, we are able to offer youth and adults with special needs an opportunity to enjoy a highly adaptable summer camp experience and weekend respite care on the grounds of the beautiful Camp Henry Horner and Lake Wooster.

Camp STAR – a joint effort by the Hyperactivity, Attention, and Learning Problems Clinic (HALP) at the University of Illinois at Chicago and JCYS – provides quality summer programming for children with ADHD and related disorders by blending an intensive therapeutic program with a fun summer camp experience.

TEAMcorps, a comprehensive life skills and leadership development program offered free of charge to at-risk Chicago Public High School students, uses the framework of Social Emotional Learning to target students early in their high school careers – when they are most vulnerable – to equip them with the tools they need to succeed personally and academically.
Ages: 1st – 6th Grade
Location: Lillian L. Lutz Recreation Center, Highland Park, IL
At the Jon Vegosen Champ Camp, scholarships allow vulnerable youth to attend a summer day camp that combines tennis and sports instruction with nutrition and healthy lifestyle mentoring– all at the Lillian L. Lutz Recreation Center, JCYS’ pool and sports facility in Highland Park.
