JCYS 2020 Gala Cancelled

The health, safety, and well-being of our community are our top priority. In light of recent recommendations concerning COVID-19 and social gatherings, we have decided to cancel the JCYS 2020 Gala: Stand Up for JCYS.

To the right are some Frequently Asked Questions and answers related to the event cancellation. If you have other questions or are in a position to help, please contact Elizabeth Foster at efoster@jcys.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the event be rescheduled?

Given the uncertainty surrounding the spread of COVID-19, we are unable to reschedule the event.

Can I still place an Event Book Ad? Will you still publish an Event Book?

We will still produce a digital Event Book which will be posted on our website and highlighted in our social media channels. The ad specs will remain the same as the printed Event Book and we will link your ad to your company’s webpage. If you have already purchased an ad, we will be getting in touch with additional information about moving to the digital format.

Whom should I contact with questions or to request a ticket refund?

Each year, contributions to our Annual Gala represent approximately 30% of our raised revenue. Now, more than ever, we need your help to continue serving the Chicagoland Jewish community. While we are happy to refund ticket purchases, please know that any gifts you have made to support the event will help to lessen the financial burden of this cancellation and enable the agency to continue to pay our beloved staff and educators during this challenging time.

If you have additional questions or would like to request a ticket refund, please email Elizabeth Foster at efoster@jcys.org.
