Camp Henry Horner

An outdoor day camp located on 180 wooded acres on the shores of Wooster Lake.
Features boating, fishing, swimming, a ropes course and zip line, sports fields, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, cooking, outdoor education and an outdoor heated pool!
A typical week includes:
Swim lessons and recreational swimming in heated outdoor pool
Boating, fishing, blobbing and swimming at Wooster Lake
Age-specific field trips
Themed Fridays
*Before & After Camp is available (7 am – 6 pm)

North Shore Day Camp

Grades K – 8
9 am – 3 pm
Highland Park, IL

There is something for everyone on the North Shore!
Campers enjoy daily swimming instruction, sports, music and drama, and arts and crafts, weekly field trips, overnighters and Friday FunDays.

Creates lasting camp memories of summer.

NSDC Sports

Grades 2 – 7
9 am – 3 pm

Highland Park, IL

A camp at an ideal sports training facility, where challenging campers is no sweat (for us!). 
A genuine sports camp experience, teamed with the spirit and sense of community.
Each week, campers learn a variety of sports through skill drills, games and tournaments.
Located at the Lillian L. Lutz Recreation Center, campers have access to tennis courts, a heated pool for swim lessons and a sports court that can accommodate any game from basketball to flag football and soccer!

Before and After Camp Care is available.


Jon Vegosen Champ Camp

Grades 1-6
5 weeks
12:15 – 3:30 pm

Highland Park, IL

Promotes healthy lifestyles through a combination of tennis, fitness, swimming and nutrition education. Focuses on developing confidence, self-esteem, healthy lifestyle habits, teamwork skills, and an appreciation for athletics and sportsmanship.
Daily swim and tennis lessons at the state-of-the-art Lillian L. Lutz Recreation Center will make a champion of your summer camper!

After Camp Care is available.


Big City Day Camp

Grades K – 8
9 am – 3 pm

Chicago, IL
An urban day camp offering diverse activities and field trips, including:
Swim lessons with Red Cross certified instructors, and weekly sessions with professional sport coaches, artists, musicians and yoga instructors.
College-aged counselors sprinkle in singing, cooperative games, dancing, and arts and crafts. Campers enjoy Chicago beaches, unique field trips with behind-the-scenes experiences, and cookouts with this one-of-a-kind urban camp adventure!


Horner Grove Day Camp

Ages 6 weeks – 6 years
Northwest Family Center – Buffalo Grove

Campers explore nature, karate, tumbling, sports, music, drama, arts and crafts, and participate in daily swim lessons.
Using a newly renovated athletic field and indoor facilities, it is an all-inclusive camp experience in a convenient location.

Sunflower Day Camp – Lakeview

Ages 15 months – 5 years
Half Day: 9am* – 12:30pm (2, 3 or 5 days/week)
Full Day: 9am* – 6pm (3 or 5 days/week)
*Morning Drop-off: 7:30-9am

Sunflower Camp – Highland Park

Ages 15 months – 5 years

George W. Lutz Family Center – Highland Park

Young campers enjoy age appropriate water activities, in-house field trips, arts and crafts, music, games and outdoor fun.

 A joint effort by the Hyperactivity, Attention, and Learning Problems Clinic (HALP) at the University of Illinois at Chicago and JCYS, provides quality programming for children with ADHD and related disorders by blending an intensive therapeutic program with a fun summer camp experience.


Camp Red Leaf

Youth and Adults ages 9  years and older

Offers youth and adults with special needs an opportunity to enjoy a highly adaptable summer camp experience and weekend respite care.
Located on the grounds of the beautiful Camp Henry Horner and Lake Wooster.
