Kindergarten Enrichment allows children to enjoy social, recreational and educational opportunities that enhance their Kindergarten experience. Literature, art, drama, science, social studies and sports are an integral part of our programming for half-day Kindergarten students. Best of all, our emergent curriculum allows the children to vote on which topics they learn about. Our talented teachers develop engaging, experiential curriculum surrounding these topics and the result is magic. Within the context of learning about “Candy” or “Space” or “Gemstones” (or a myriad of other ideas that kindergartners find interesting) our children are also developing their social studies, math, science, literature, writing and problem solving skills.
JCYS welcomes families of all faiths. Our curriculum teaches Jewish values and traditions and incorporates the Jewish holidays including Shabbat on Fridays. JCYS programs grow with your child, providing developmentally- and age-appropriate curriculum for elementary school children.
Mid-day transportation is provided by District 112 to and from the JCYS Lutz Family Center. Parents will need to make this arrangement with the District 112 Transportation Department. For children who attend our Before School program or who need to return to our Center at 3:30 for Kindergarten After School Club, transportation is provided, by the District for some schools and by JCYS for others. Please note that if JCYS provides transportation there is a fee per bus route.
